StorySpring led the full creative design for the Sacramento County Office of Education on its CalHope SEL project.This creative work built and elevated the California statewide movement focused on advancing socio-emotional learning across California schools by translating complex educational frameworks into accessible, high-impact resources for varying audiences and stakeholders. 

Deliverables

We designed and produced 6 comprehensive role-specific print and digital guides for students, parents, teachers, and administrators.

StorySpring has served as the strategic creative partner for CalHOPE Social Emotional Learning (SEL), a statewide public sector initiative facilitated through the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE).

Throughout this engagement, we utilized project management platforms like Asana and Slack to lead end-to-end delivery, ensuring all materials—from print-ready files to digital toolkits—met stringent quality standards and Section 508 accessibility compliance.

The CalHOPE Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Community of Practice is helping enable California's schools to be leaders in supporting proactive and early intervention as we collectively respond to the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students, families, and educators.

Through a unique partnership with California Department of Health Services, Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), Orange County Department of Education (OCDE), University of California, Berkeley, and FEMA, California front-line educators are preparing to do the unprecedented task of bringing children back into learning after widespread trauma and isolation.
